![]() ![]() "The endgame won't change at all," he told EW. Rake still feels good about where the show stands, despite not securing the six seasons he originally envisioned. The final season will explore the ramifications of all these stories and much more. ![]() What that place is, I'm going let Cal speak to that when we come back in season four." Captain Daly has been exactly where Cal was from the end of Episode 312 when he disappears to when he returns right there at the very end of the season finale. Let's put it this way: Captain Daly has been exactly where the passengers as a group were for those five and a half years. "Whether it's purgatory, whether it's the netherworld, these are terms and concepts that Ben and others will struggle to understand. When asked about Captain Daly, show creator Jeff Rake told TV Insider, There was also the sudden reappearance and disappearance of Captain Daly (Frank Deal). What makes things even stranger is that the returned passengers and crew begin to hear voices in their heads and have premonitions about events that haven’t even happened. As soon as they step back into their regular lives, they all realize that a lot has changed since they’ve been gone. For all the people in the aircraft, the jump in time was represented by some turbulence. In a nutshell, Manifest tells the story of a commercial airliner, Flight 828, which went missing a few hours into its journey and reappeared with all the crew and passengers more than five years later after they were presumed dead. And something that rarely happens to TV shows happened to Manifest when the network announced that they renewed it for one last season. The uproar by the show’s die-hard fans led them to start an online petition to bring it back. But shortly after season three ended, NBC announced that they wouldn’t be renewing the series for a fourth season. This post has been updated throughout.Since Manifestwrapped up its third season in June 2021, the show left viewers with questions and some nail-biting drama in the season finale. Part one of the fourth season of Manifest (taking a play from Stranger Things 4) will be ten episodes long, premiering on Friday, November 4. The show was canceled by NBC after its third season, but luckily for Manifest-heads (Manifestos?) everywhere, the show became a hit on Netflix post-cancellation and has now been resurrected (much like the resurrected meth-heads who rob an ice-cream shop on the show) for a fourth and final season on the streamer. The first three seasons of the show had twists like a whistleblower (who had come back to life after drowning, naturally) mysteriously spewing water out of his mouth, causing him to re-drown before he could reveal his secrets on national television. ![]() In the season four official trailer, Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) has to captain the lifeboat alone as Ben (Josh Dallas) steps down after being consumed by his grief and his search for his missing daughter. But they should also be worried about a “mysterious passenger” bringing Cal (Ty Doran) a package that will provide some new information about the fated flight. ![]() And, of course, the Death Date is coming up soon, causing most of 828’s passengers to panic. We know that the season will be set two years after Grace (Athena Karkanis) dies, according to the press release. “Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years - and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on.” Although that sets up pretty much any supernatural mystery-box show, Manifest is anything but typical. “When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved,” says the series description, luring you in. Manifest is coming back to haunt our Netflix queues with a fourth season. So many reasons to stay on the ground nowadays. ![]()
